A Young Woman Visited A Shelter And Requested The Shelter’s Least Adoptable Cat

Madeleine, a cat lover, had been through a series of traumatic experiences in the previous two years. She thought that acquiring a cat would help her deal with the situation, keep her company, and fill the gap in her heart. “She’s 22, and she’s lost two friends and our father in the previous two years,” her sister added.

She also had a difficult breakup and ended her professional ballet career. So she did what any good sad person would do. She acquired a feline companion. It’s not just any cat, though. She went to our local animal shelter and requested the least adoptable cat.”

Madeline wasn’t looking for just any cat. When she arrived at the shelter, she approached the workers and inquired as to which cat was having the most difficulty finding a home.

Chester, a 16-year-old ginger male who had been dropped off by his owner when she went to college, had been at the shelter for over a year, lurking in the corner of his cage and outshined by all the kittens, came to mind instantly.

Madeline stated that no animal should have to die in a shelter when asked whether she was sure she wanted an older cat. As a result, the decision was made: Chester had found his permanent family. “I first noticed him in the corner of the shelter, and I realized that he was so elderly, and he was SO fluffy,” she recalled. “He had the appearance of a teddy bear.” “All I had to do was hold him.”

The two of them instantly bonded and Madeline says that despite his age, Chester is a very healthy kitty.

“He is the household’s king.” He adjusted in approximately 5 hours and now he enjoys it. He’s such a cuddler, and he adores being able to snuggle on people’s laps. He enjoys playing with strings and yarn. He’s really curious.”

It looks as if the relationship was meant to be and Madeleine now has a companion to brighten her days. Doesn’t it just melt your heart and proves once again that how “don’t shop, adopt” can change lives for the better.
