A Stray Kitten Sneaks Into A Police Station And Chooses An Officer As A Family Member
A stray cat decided to take matters into his own hands and wandered inside a police station in search of a new home. As adorable as only a cat can be, immediately won the cops’ hearts, and it wasn’t long until one of them adopted him!
The other day, officers from the Columbia Police Department in Columbia, South Carolina, had a very unexpected visitor. A black and white cat sneaked inside seeking for some affection. Since it is nearly impossible to resist when a kitten begs to be petted, the officers immediately complied with his demands.
The police department posted on Facebook, “This fluffy kitty dropped by CPD West Region to suggest we were posting too many dog images and wanted to offer kitties some love as well.”
The cops let the furry guest go after a long session of hugging and selfies, presuming he has a family that has been seeking for him. But things were different this time, and guess who was there to welcome officer Brandon Montgomery when he returned to work after his weekend off? Yes, it’s the same adorable furry guest!
“He wanted to be pet and held,” said officer Montgomery. “He likes being on shoulders, very much. He’ll climb right up.”
Officers then attempted to contact the cat’s owners by posting images of him online, but since no one claimed him, officer Montgomery opted to adopt him. He christened the kitten Kingsley, and the once-stray kitten is now prospering alongside the Montgomerys!
“I adore animals,” the officer said. “I consider him a family member.” He’s doing fantastic.”
