Adaptive Mother Is Shocked To See Her Cat On A Web Of Lost Animals

Ron Weasley was originally supposed to be a foster cat, but he fell in love with his foster mom and decided he wouldn’t behave for anyone else, ever. His mom already had cats at home, but it didn’t matter. Ron had chosen his family, and he was there to stay.

“He was taken to the PetSmart adoption center while under the care of a rescue, but he hated everyone, and I was soon called back to come get him,” Brandi Schmidt, Ron’s mom, told The Dodo. “Their words: ‘Don’t bring him back … ever.’ And he’s been with us ever since.”

Ron is a nice, affectionate cat, and his demeanor at the adoption facility might have been due to the fact that he had already decided on the family he wanted. He does have a proclivity for mischief, and his mother is always on the lookout for what he’ll get himself into next.

Schmidt explained, “Ron earned his moniker because he’s especially weasel-ly.” “It fits him because he doesn’t stop at ‘no.’ He enjoys working in the industry, and everything he does is for his benefit. It’s referred to as “the business selects the cat.” He’s continually getting himself into trouble. When we initially got him, he didn’t like many people, but now he’s constantly on the welcoming committee when we have company.

When I’m with him at home, he’s my shadow. He is obligated to accompany me around the home. He’s also just learned to unlock the cupboards and knock the entire jar of Greenies cat treats off the shelf, prompting the entire crew to gorge themselves on cat goodies.”

Ron enjoys being outside, so he often goes exploring during the day and then returns to the house when he’s finished. His mother wasn’t concerned about where he went throughout the day because he always returned. Ron had gone and got himself a second family, and she figured he was just lying about outside somewhere.

Schmidt was going about her business when she received a text from a friend saying she had seen a photo of Ron on Facebook – on a missing pets page.

Schmidt explained, “I found out he was on the missing page because a buddy sent me a screenshot.” ”I never expected to see his photo on the Facebook page for abandoned pets. He’d been hanging out at a neighbor’s house, and I’m sure they fed him, which I know he enjoyed because we were all on a diet at this house at the time.”

When Schmidt spotted Ron’s funny, cute face on the missing dogs Facebook page, she couldn’t help but chuckle. In fact, it made her feel a little better. Ron has never been very good at making friends, despite the fact that he’s definitely gone a long way from being a cranky cat to having a second family. That is unquestionably development.

Schmidt struck up a conversation with Ron’s other mother, a neighbor, who said Ron stopped by frequently. Ron goes in like he owns the home since her kids frequently leave the door open. His second family laughed heartily when they discovered he wasn’t a stray cat at all, but rather had a loving home just next door. He simply enjoys stopping over to meet new people — and, of course, to acquire some extra goodies. That is the true source of his motivation.

Schmidt can only guess that Ron still visits his second family because he goes out exploring every day. She doesn’t mind as long as he returns home at the end of the day, and neither does his second family.

Schmidt stated, “She said he could come over anytime he wanted, and he often receives food from the kids.”
