After Adopting A Senior Cat, A Woman Returns To The Shelter For His 16-year-Old Best Friend

The long lives of two elderly cats, 11-year-old Mojo and 16-year-old Max, were nearly terminated when they were left off with Anne Arundel County Animal Control in Maryland. The cats had to be housed in separate cages due to the shelter’s rules, with each one trying to overcome the odds stacked against them as elderly pets in need of new homes.

The shelter stated on Facebook, “About a month ago, this lady adopted Mojo, an 11-year-old cat who arrived to the shelter with another cat, Max, who is 16.”
She remarked that while Mojo had been a lovely pet, she couldn’t get Max out of her head. ‘The thought of him spending the rest of his life in a cage broke my heart,’ she said.”
