A Man Reunites With His 20 Year Old Blind And Deaf Cat After A Tearful Reunion

While traveling cross-country from California, Lily, a 20-year-old senior Himalayan, got lost in South Florida.

Since she was blind and deaf, she couldn’t find her way back to her owner Raymond McNamera. Raymond sought help from the authorities, requesting the help of the local police, animal control, and a search team in an attempt to locate Lily, but they were unsuccessful.

Raymond was distraught, and he believed Lily would not be able to live in her current state, especially given the severe temperatures in Florida. He’d lost all hope of ever seeing his cat Lily again.

A lady discovered a cat at the building site where Lily had gone missing two months later. The poor cat had managed to live in the heat and harsh weather for two months on her own. She was filthy, ill, and matted when she arrived at the shelter, where she was brought back to health. Local officials assumed this was Lily and quickly dialed Raymond’s number.

McNamara was overcome with emotion when he arrived. When he was reunited with his blind cat after she had been missing for two months in Florida, it was a joyful and heartbreaking moment. She says she’ll never allow her out of his sight again, according to Raymond. “She’ll never be able to get away from me.” She is the center of my universe. For me, there was no greater joy than being able to hold her once more.”
