The Kitten Saved from the well After Being Trapped For Two Days

Erin, a foster volunteer with Wrenn Rescues in Los Angeles, offered to take her in after learning about her.

“She was discovered inside a well after being trapped there for two days,” Erin explained.

After being rescued from the dangerous scenario, the tuxedo was fatigued, dehydrated, and coated in mud. CAAT Friends volunteers delivered the kitten safely to Erin, allowing the small ball of fur to be hand-reared around the clock.

“She didn’t have much of an appetite and wasn’t suckling at all.” We had to tube-feed her for the first day, but after a couple full bellies, she came around.”

“She began to gain weight quickly and eat like a champ. “After a little kick start with tube feedings, she was eating all of her meals on her own,” Erin added.

It was only because of Jojo’s tremendous will to live that she was able to recuperate so fast from her trauma. After two days on her alone, apart from her family, it became clear that what she actually wanted was a friend.

However, she needed to be medically certified before she could mingle with the other kittens. Erin provided her with a cuddling toy to help her deal with her loneliness.

“Even though she was (three weeks) younger, we felt she would be the ideal addition to our little gang of black and white fosters we already had.”

As the days drew up to the big reveal, she was showered with embraces. “Jojo yearned to be a member of the huge cat team!”

When the big day arrived, everything went so well that she was promptly snatched up by the bigger kittens and a fun roughhousing session ensued.

“She fit right in,” Erin recalled, “running around with the older foster females and learning how to cat from them.”

Jojo still adored her human buddies and relished the rough and tumble company of all her new acquaintances. She never missed a chance to occupy every empty lap she came across.

“She was spending more time with the large cats and had developed a reputation as a (toy) huntress.”

“She is silly, crazy and so cuddly. She just loves to be on your lap and in your face grooming you. She has the cutest little meow, and immediately purrs and wants to snuggle the minute you walk into the room.”

“She plays hard and cuddles harder.”

Jojo the tuxedo cat didn’t take long to establish herself as a full-fledged snuggle bug, unwilling to spend any time alone.

“Until they were all adopted, she shared three elder (foster) sisters.” After that, she had two younger but smaller brothers. She’s outgoing, sociable, and loves to cuddle.”

Jojo went into her new home two months after being rescued from the well, where she now spends her days with a feline sister of her own and a family that adores her.

“Fostering her has been a dream come true. We are ecstatic to have been a part of her adventure.”
