A Kind Samaritan Comes To The Rescue Of A Kitten That Has Become Stranded On The Side Of The Road

One beautiful kitten’s nine lives are still intact after she was rescued by a kind Samaritan who found her caught in a pool of glue on a busy road. Sticky the Kitty, as she has been fondly christened by her rescuer, has now been adopted.

Chuck Hawley commented on Facebook, “So I’m going down the road this morning and the cars in front of me are driving over a black item on the road.” “I’m presuming it’s a box since it’s moving between their tires.” It’s a kitty that’s sitting up and trembling like a leaf. And some fool had glued it to the road with adhesive on its paws. She was drenched and cold, clinging to the asphalt.

Hawley told Salem television station KPTV that the 5-week-old cat was practically plastered to the road because she was covered with rubber cement from her neck to her sides, feet, and tail. She didn’t say how long she’d been there.

“I slammed on my brakes and halted all traffic,” he said on Facebook. “I put my hazards on and went out and pulled her off the road.” “People were honking and yelling… seriously???” It’s a kitten stuck on the side of the road!!”

“When I went to pick her up, her feet were stuck on the road, and I was like, ‘Uh oh,'” he said.

Because the cat was attached to a “glob of glue” in the center of the traffic lane, Hawley believes it was not an accident that she got up there. The good Samaritan reported the incident to the authorities in order to assist in the investigation of the perpetrator.

“I believe someone really went out and put her there since there were no glue foot tracks nearby,” he explained. “… So it appears that she was abducted and dumped on the side of the road.

Not only did Hawley rescue the kitten’s life, but he also opted to adopt her once she recovered completely. According to Hawley, his wife called the newest member of the family Sticky in honor of the unfortunate manner the little kitty joined their life.

“The strange thing is, just a few of nights ago, we were talking about buying a cat,” Hawley added. “It appears that there are easier methods for the cat to locate us, but if that’s how we’re doing it, that’s OK.” That’s probably how we’ll go about it!”

“We got a new kitten, thanks to a Goo Gone wash and some food and cream. “World’s luckiest kitty!” he said.

Since word of Sticky’s rescue spread, Hawley built a Facebook page for her, which has more than 17,000 page likes and another 17,000 followers.

Sticky’s life is documented through photos and video as she adjusts to her new family, which includes Hawley, his wife, and two dogs.
