Cat Is Surprised As To Why She Isn’t Able To Knock Down A Strange ‘Tree’

Pepper has always been a very energetic cat, and if she can, she would convert practically everything into a toy or a game, which has made Christmas decorations a bit tough.

Pepper’s mother, Mikaela O’Neill, told The Dodo, “Pepper loves to jump high and onto everything she thinks she can get to.” “No decorations on high shelves, and definitely no Christmas trees,” says the author.

However, O’Neill still wanted to find a festive way to decorate the property, so when she came across a Christmas tree tapestry, she felt it would be ideal. Pepper enjoyed the wall hanging from afar at first, until she discovered there was a way she could play with it as well.

“She now realizes it’s a terrific game after two Christmases,” O’Neill remarked.

Pepper now spends a significant portion of her holiday season inspecting the tree…

… playing with it …

… and ultimately, trying to knock it down.

She is mostly unsuccessful in her attempts to bring down the “tree,” although she and her brother do succeed on occasion.

“I also have another cat named Soda Pop who enjoys playing with and beneath the painting,” O’Neill explained. “Last year, I had it mounted on the wall in a different way, and they managed to knock it down multiple times.” This year, I’ve figured out how to (basically) beat them.”

Pepper’s shenanigans have revealed that no tree is truly secure from Pepper’s antics, not even one that hangs from the wall.
