People Are Surprised By This Strange Cat Photo

Given the number of images pet parents take of their pets, they’re going to capture some unusual situations.

I spin bubbles, a Reddit member, recently took a picture of his completely regular cat and ended up with something pretty strange.

He captioned the shot on Reddit, which seemed to be part optical illusion and half magic trick: “One head in, one head out.” To test who could figure it out, I used the phrase “cat complete.” The online sleuths, on the other hand, had some trouble figuring out what was going on.

The head of I spin bubbles’ cat Koda looks to be split from his body in the shot. However, the cat received some assistance from his sister, Lilly, in pulling off this act.

Whether they’re lounging on the sofa or playing tag, the two cats are seldom apart. “[Koda] is always creeping up behind you and fighting with his entire body weight,” I spin bubbles told The Dodo. “Lilly enjoys playing with anything she can get her hands on, especially fetch. She’s just eight months old and half Koda’s height and weight, yet she’s always harsh with him.”

When I spin bubbles took the now-famous photo, he was amusing his cats with a packaging ribbon, one of their favorite toys. He recognized it resembled something from a horror film.

Koda and Lilly’s heads, thankfully, are still attached to their bodies. But they realize that two heads are better than one if they ever want to execute a magic trick again.
