The Father Refused To Keep The Cat Until He Took Care Of It One Day

Hira Khalid’s request for her father to watch her kitty, Bilu, was met with a harsh “no.”

Khalid, a Pepperdine University student, told The Dodo, “He didn’t want the mess.”

Khalid had recently acquired Bilu from Los Angeles’ NKLA Pet Adoption Center, where she had swiftly fallen in love with her new family member.

Khalid looked for someone else to watch Bilu. However, when she was unable to locate anybody, she returned to her parents. “‘You know what?’ I said. He’s potty-trained and perfectly well. ‘Please just keep him for a week – I’m desperate,’ she added.

“If there’s no other alternative,’ my father remarked,” Khalid explained. “So I gave Bilu a week’s notice.”

Khalid was always wondering how things were doing at her parents’ place while on vacation, but she was happy that she wasn’t hearing any complaints.

Then, a few days into her vacation, she received some unexpected images from her father, who had taken shots of himself with Bilu nestled against his neck.

Khalid was both surprised and thrilled.

“I was taken aback by my father’s closeness with Bilu,” Khalid stated. “I knew Bilu was the friendliest cat on the planet, but I had no idea how close Dad would get to him.”

“And my father never does anything like that,” she said, “like emailing selfies.” “So when I saw those, I couldn’t stop laughing.” It was somewhat unexpected.”

She went to pick up Bilu when Khalid returned to Los Angeles. Her father didn’t offer to babysit Bilu again, but she believes both of her parents resented him leaving.

“When I put him in his luggage to take him back to my flat, they hinted that they would miss him,” Khalid added.

Khalid, on the other hand, has no immediate intentions to travel again.

“I didn’t want to leave him at all,” Khalid said. “The entire time, I was missing him.”
