A Persian Cat Abandoned In A Box By Its Owner Is Looking For A Loving Home

Lucy, a Persian cat, was discovered dumped in a wheelie bin outside of Belhelvie Church in Scotland.

Her heartless owner had just thrown her in a crate and left her there. The Scottish RSPCA has been caring for her at their Aberdeenshire Animal Rescue Centre since then.

She had clearly been neglected for a long period, since she was in poor health and her fur was matted. She is estimated to be roughly 16 years old, and she need care in the years she has left.

The crew had to shave her coat entirely because her fur was so matted. Due to significant dental condition, they subsequently proceeded to remove the majority of her teeth. Lucy must have been in excruciating pain, but thanks to months of rehabilitation, she is on the mend.

Lucy is now looking for a home to spend her golden years, according to the Scottish SPCA. “We’d want to find Lucy the permanent home she deserves,” Louise Griese, center manager, said.

She was understandably apprehensive about human interaction after being found abandoned and in such a terrible state when she arrived with us. She is a lot more confident cat and has relaxed totally once she realized we are here to assist her.

“She was underweight when she came into our care, and after having to shave her, she was much smaller.” We fattened her up with delectable morsels while she donned a comfortable pullover to keep her warm.”

“Her beautiful fur is starting to regrow and is silky and fluffy. We’re searching for an experienced owner for Lucy who understands the time and effort required to keep her coat in good shape so it may reclaim its previous grandeur.”

“To keep her looking her best, she’ll need to be groomed on a regular basis.”

“We believe Lucy would thrive in a peaceful adult-only home where she is the only pet and receives all of the fuss and care. She’d be happiest as an indoor cat.”

Those interested in adopting Lucy should fill out an application on the Scottish SPCA’s website.
