Woman Notices Her Cat In Someone Else’s Apartment Window
George has been the mayor of his apartment complex since he was rescued. He enjoys going around and greeting everyone, and it is one of his favorite moments of the day.
George’s mother, Jodi McCree, told The Dodo, “He’s truly a wonderful cat, and I’m still in disbelief that he was abandoned.”
“He is well-known and well-liked by many of my neighbors in my flats. Even one of my prior elderly neighbors was able to conquer her fear of cats because to him! When she spotted him reclining outdoors, she’d sit and chat to him.”
Even though George enjoys spending time outside, he always returns to see his mother. McCree realized it had been a long time since she’d seen George and decided to go look for him one day. She looked throughout the complex and was concerned when she couldn’t see him.
“I walked around my neighborhood in my pjs with a bag of cookies calling out to him,” McCree said. “I looked a shambles and drew a few attention from my neighbors.”
George was unable to be discovered, and McCree got increasingly concerned as time passed. She returned to the complex to have another look around, and it was then that she noticed George in the window.

George had apparently slipped into his neighbor’s flat when the door was open and became trapped inside. His mother was happy that he was okay, but she couldn’t help but giggle at the predicament he’d found himself in.
“He appeared perplexed as to why I wasn’t letting him go and instead simply laughed at him,” McCree stated.
McCree phoned the neighbor, who wasn’t home at the time, to let her know what was going on. Meanwhile, George was completely safe inside the flat, where he stayed for nearly five hours until being ultimately released.
“He had water and could eat dog chow,” McCree explained. “My next-door neighbor has a very nice dog that gets along well with the cats here.”
When George was ultimately reunited with his mother, he didn’t appear fazed or remorseful at all, and instead seemed eager to continue exploring outside.
Hopefully, in the future, he’ll be more cautious about getting caught in other people’s apartments, but you never know with George.
